Slowly and sporadically, word began to spread about these unknown Lennon songs and the relationship between Bierman and Lennon. In 1991, a German friend of Bierman set up an interview with Billboard Magazine's author Jeff Clark-Meads.  Billboard featured a story that detailed the connection between the two.

In 1999, noted Beatles historian Keith Badman wrote about the music he gave to Bierman in The Beatles Diary, Volume 2: After the Breakup, as did Allen J. Weiner in his book, the beatles: The Ultimate Recording Guide.

As this information started to leak to the public, Bierman’s activity in the music world renewed. In 2000, he began to relearn the instruments he had put down years before.

In the second half of the 1970's, he also worked as a live sound engineer with some of music’s greats including he Grateful Dead, The Jerry Garcia Band, Jefferson Starship, Hot Tuna, Journey, Patti Smith, Santana, Huey Lewis and The News, and The Tubes.  Bierman learned the art of making the best sound better and used that knowledge in his own pursuit to benefit the quality of his future recordings.

The late 1980's saw Bierman recording with some of his peers. He has recorded his own project at Skywalker Sound with the likes of Ross Valory, Bassist of Journey, Bill Gibson, Drummer of Huey Lewis and The News, and Steve Kimock, one of the great guitarists. The mutual respect that Bierman and these greats share can be heard in the music they created together.
